Fantastic wee course, tight fairways but also forgiving unless your in the thick rough. The 18th tee shot is one of my favourite holes.
Nice course, but tees don't have any info on yard ISH or telling you number of hole. Just as well I was playing with someone who knew the course.

We booked Duddingston Golf Club for our wedding reception in April. David immediately impressed us with his understanding of what kind of event we wanted, and provided a number of useful suggestions and ideas. Their flexibility in adjusting to our budget and allowing us to bring in our own home-made desserts for the evening was a breath of fresh air, where many wedding venues are much stricter. In addition, the dance floor is perfect - much bigger than other venues we'd considered, and important when a great ceilidh is a priority! In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Kerry-Anne was a star. Communication was great and on the day she dealt with all our small issues quietly and efficiently. I couldn't say enough good things about her. We're very grateful for the work they put in to making our day so much fun, and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for an evening venue.
Beautiful location. I meet every Friday for a business networking meeting and love the location. Facilities are just what we need. Staff are very accommodating. Great views while looking out over the very well kept golf course. Just a lovely place to be.

Great course. Great service.
Clubhouse has great views of the course, even if it's covered in snow and full of sledgers!

Enjoy every visit and if you go about late morning or noon the gym is almost empty. But even in busy times there's rarely a wait to use machines! Showers and locker rooms are well maintained, only minus would be that a lot of the lockers don't close or open properly. Can only recommend, maybe more for casual workouts but there sure is some professional equipment too!
Good gym but needs staff to inspect and maintain static bikes better. Washroom soap dispensers frequently run out in the morning - Needs sorting as hygiene issue. Some repairs to infrastructure take long time and can be frustrating, e.g.. toilet out for 4 weeks because seat was broken!

Best gym ever. Extensive cardio equipment. Multiple free weight rooms. Pool, squash courts, climbing wall and archery range. Daily organised classes. Very reasonably priced for students and staff, as well as outside members.
Fantastic facilities and lots of sports clubs, although most are only available to Edinburgh University students. Membership available to all, just not the sports clubs and the gym facilities are fantastic. Parking can be difficult and it is by permit only in the car park, but there is plenty of metered parking nearby!

I've used 3 different puregyms throughout the U.K. and I appreciate this one the most. When the 6 am trainer comes in they immediately go around putting away weights and cleaning up the gym. It doesn't go unnoticed. I don't think this deserves a 4* rating, but the men's toilet area doesn't have the best smell - i think that's more to do with the building then the gym itself. One thing I would love them to improve is the water fountains and maybe even add another. The water pressure is pretty bad, add that with the close placement to the wall, it's tough to get a solid sip.
Clean, relaxed, amazing staff who are very helpful, usually always cardio machines to get on. Does what it says on the tin really. My only issue is the people that hog the squat racks, spending up to 30mins on a rack with their headphones on, head down stuck in their phone, not lifting very much weights for the best part of it. I've no complaints about people who use phones, my issue is recovery times are generally set at around 90 seconds for weights, so standing watching someone "recover" for up to 5 minutes, not really sure how to get their attention as their nose is stuck to their screen is a bit of a nightmare. That said, the gym is brilliant and if you just time your workout right (I'm now there typically between 6.30-7am), you don't come across many of them.

Retro swimming pool it's you fancy a little bit of time travel. Prices are acceptable. Could expand with swim wear drier, a standard swimming pool facility those days. Parking on site is limited and luck dependent.
Nice place, Gym and swimming pool .. but sometimes is full. Friday Saturday and Sunday are closed at the night the swimming pool.

The changing facilities are old fashioned, which is fun as a step back in time, but somewhat impractical. The pool is curious, with a lip at the deep end but a protruding bar at the shallow end that felt cumbersome for turning. As with all pools, the trick is to visit when it's quiet. I'd love to know when that is.
Very nice, quiet, well supplied and organised swimm centre. The Edinburgh Leasure Venue. Stuff extremely professional and friendly!
