Only been a member here less than a month, but so far, very impressed. Over the years, I've been a member of various other leisure centres within Edinburgh, and think they are no where near as good overall as Bannatynes. The gym has recently been entirely refurbished with state of the art equipment. The spa area is lovely with a large, warm jacuzzi, pool, sauna and steam room. The cost of membership is far less than most Leisure centres in Edinburgh. I brought up an issue soon after joining and it was addressed immediately by the manager, Rachael, and I received a written response the next again day. Very professional. The personal trainers are awesome. Very helpful and friendly. I've received a training program at no cost. So big thanks to Tony, Connor and Abbey. Recommend to all.
This really is a lovely gym, I've been using it just for 4 weeks with PayAsUGym. Great facilities, and lovely sauna area (even if the pool is a little small. The only thing that lets it down slightly is the general cleanliness of the toilets, and on occasion the sauna area. Not quite up to the standards I'd expect of Bannatynes

Enjoy every visit and if you go about late morning or noon the gym is almost empty. But even in busy times there's rarely a wait to use machines! Showers and locker rooms are well maintained, only minus would be that a lot of the lockers don't close or open properly. Can only recommend, maybe more for casual workouts but there sure is some professional equipment too!
Good gym but needs staff to inspect and maintain static bikes better. Washroom soap dispensers frequently run out in the morning - Needs sorting as hygiene issue. Some repairs to infrastructure take long time and can be frustrating, e.g.. toilet out for 4 weeks because seat was broken!

I’ve been a member for over a year and would highly recommend this Nuffield Fitness Club. They staff are all genuinely friendly and the equipment has all recently been upgraded. The gym is massive and the majority of the time it feels like there is plenty of space for everyone. The pool and changing facilities are also excellent and fee multi story parking during the week makes it easy to get to the gym - the member car park is actually on the same level as the the fitness club so you go from car to club in seconds. There is a free app for booking classes and there are added perks such as discounted dining and cinema in the Omni Centre for members. Yes, it’s a bit more expensive but if you go to the gym three or four times a week it’s worth every penny.
Huge and well equipped gym with swimming pool, jacuzzi, stream room and sauna and more! There is a huge gym floor with lots of new equipment, free weights and cardio machines. There are three studios for various classes. The place has been recently refurbished. Swimming pool, sauna and changing room is nice and clean. Very friendly staff.
