Escape Computers

I spilled water on a Macbook Air a few months ago and took it to the Apple Store, they told me to buy a new one, because water damage is impossible to repair. This one day I was on a jogg around Arthur's Seat and noticed Escape Computers and decided to ask if it's possible to have the laptop checked. I came back later and left the Macbook at the shop. Grzegorz checked the device and sent me a message that he can fix it and he also gave me a price on how much would the repair cost. The price was very reasonable. A few days later I went to pick up the laptop and it was good as new! I can't really even describe how pleased I am for his help. Least I can do is to write a review and recommend him to my friends. If you want a device repaired well, Grzegorz is the best man for the job.

My laptop was stuck after a forced update and I was afraid of losing all my pictures and documents. A friend of mine advised to try Escape Computers for their fast and reliable service. I took the laptop on a Saturday morning and it was ready the following Tuesday (less than two days as Saturday afternoon and Sunday they are close). Windows 7 was also reinstalled as I had asked from Windows 10 that I never liked. Great service from Gregor who was also patient with the questions I was asking. I would highly recommend this store.

User2 Computers

Listened to issues with my wife's laptop, suggested a solution and quoted the costs. Returned two days later, as promised. Now works better than when first purchased. Thank you.

I would highly recommend User2. I have used them on a number of occasions and the service is first class. Being a local computer shop it’s easy to pop in and get their expertise on any issues I have, nothing is too much trouble for the staff.

HEX

I have been going here for a number of years and the quality of service is excellent. Recently I had to return a set of headphones that I had just bought (not compatible with my I-pod) and they accepted my refund despite them losing money (i removed the packaging). I was pretty chuffed about this since it is rare to see companies placing customers before profit.

Met by a very professional and friendly guy at reception who answered all my questions with ease. They fixed my phone camera lense quickly, cheaply and to a very high standard. Would recommend to all.

Computers Maintenance & Support

Flying Computers

167 Leith Walk, Edinburgh EH6 8NR, UK – 07411 987300

I’ve used Flying Computers twice. The first time was a battery replacement for my 4S around 2012/13, the second was a home button replacement for my trusty old 5S today. Service was quick and friendly. The repair was estimated to be 15 mins. It was completed in around 10. The price was very reasonable. I would have no hesitation in using the shop again.

Great service, great price and honest staff with lots of knowledge and skills. Down side, they are closed on the weekend.

Very impressed with the service here, the guys were really helpful in fixing and upgrading an old and dying laptop... They talked me through the various options and were upfront about pricing. I received regular phone updates from them during the process and once my laptop was ready for collection. They even removed an old sticky label mark from the top of my machine, as a bonus! Great personal, friendly service and good value.

Very happy with the service here. When I took my MacBook in, I was informed of all the possibilities of what could be wrong with it and given price estimates. They said I would probably hear from them two days later, but later that afternoon I got a call that my computer was fixed and ready to pick up.

Software and Hardware from Amazon. It has to be said that, as always, Amazon is quite extraordinarily comprehensive and saves shopping in the rain, but the value of having a local supplier can in the long run be extremely helpful and cost effective.
